The Essentials

What NOT to bring:

• Cash.  As of 2009 we only accept cash at the river. 

• Good footwear such as athletic shoes or river sandals.  Flip flops work but may float away.

• Water

• Sun block

• Sunglasses

• Hat for the sun

• Shorts or swimwear

• Don't forget your friends!

• Lightweight shirt for sensitive skin

• Food and beverages:  We have coolers to pack it in.

• Ice!

• Towels and a change of clothes to leave in the car for after your trip

• Waterproof camera or binoculars for wildlife viewing (if you rent a dry bag)

• Warm clothes for late afternoon trips in the late summer.

• Maybe even a book for the beach

We recommend you do NOT bring the following items on the river:

• Glass bottles

• Cell Phone

• Nice camera

• Expensive jewelry

• keys or wallet

• expensive eyeglasses or sunglasses.
