We are a family owned and operated business (with lots of support from our friends!) based in Leavenworth, Washington. We have just had our first child, Lucas, born on June 1, 2004. If you come join us, chances are you will see him around the plaza or maybe even on the river! We only operate during late summer when the weather is hot and sunny and the water levels are low and safe. This makes for a refreshing, fun, and relatively safe trip. We have a wonderful dog and love bringing him with us on all of our outings. This inspired us to create a way for dog owners to bring their favorite pals with them, hence the dog tubes.
My wife Cristina and I (Dave) opened Tube Leavenworth in 2003. I have been a whitewater rafting guide in Washington since 1992 and living in Leavenworth since 1999. Over the years I noticed it was difficult to find a way for people to enjoy a float on the river in the late summer because all of the rafting outfitters left to follow the high water on other rivers around the state. We discussed the idea and came up with a full service, self guided, tubing rental business that includes shuttle, life vests, and all of the equipment needed to enjoy a day on the river. We decided to do all of it at a reasonable price, too, so that the whole family (including the family dog) could enjoy it without it costing a fortune. Since our trips usually last about 2-4 hours and start right in town, many people walk over from the park and the shopping/business area and take a trip in the middle of the day with little or no planning.
Each season we need to fill several positions. We operate seasonally, July and August mostly, with some limited operations in June and September. We have full time (~40 hrs/wk) and part time (~25 hrs/wk) positions available. Tube Leavenworth could be the perfect job for college student or a seasonal sports junkie from a ski area. We are a service oriented company and our primary customers are families on vacation. To provide them with the best possible experience our employees must be non smokers, polite, courteous, outgoing, friendly, & professional. We are very busy all season, so hustle and motivation are extremely important too. Most of the work is outdoors and involves greeting guests and answering their questions, loading and unloading tubes and equipment from our trucks, trailers, and busses, providing safety and equipment instructions, driving our vehicles, cashiering, marketing, data entry, daily clean up (even restrooms) and best of all, sitting on the beach waiting for the last guests to return.
